Process
From an idea to something people use.
Six phases. The names are simple on purpose. What matters is that each one ends with something you can look at and make a decision about.
- 01
Idea Intake
We get the real story before we get to solutions.
You describe the idea, the friction, and the constraints. We ask about who does the work today, what breaks, and what a good outcome would actually look like six months out. No pitch deck required.
- 02
Definition
Turning an idea into a scoped, buildable plan.
We map the workflow, define the first release, name what is out of scope, and choose the technical approach. You get a plan you can budget against instead of an open-ended engagement.
- 03
Design
Brand, interface, and structure designed together.
Screens, content model, and identity are developed in parallel so the product reads as one thing. We test the hard flows early: the ones with permissions, exceptions, and edge cases.
- 04
Build
Working software in visible increments.
We build in short cycles against a live environment. You see real functionality throughout, and we adjust while adjusting is still cheap.
- 05
Launch
Go live with data, training, and support.
Migration, integrations, onboarding, documentation, and a real support window. We stay close through the first weeks of production usage.
- 06
Multiply
Grow the platform and the audience around it.
Post-launch we focus on adoption, marketing, automation, and the next set of capabilities. Some projects become products. Some become ventures.
Common questions
- What does ZERO:MANY actually do?
- We are a product, platform, and growth studio. We build custom software and internal systems, design brands and websites, run marketing and SEO, and operate our own ventures. Most engagements combine several of those.
- Do you only work with campaigns and nonprofits?
- No. Our team has deep experience in political campaigns, direct mail, voter data, and volunteer operations, and that work informs how we build. We also build for businesses, community platforms, and niche marketplaces.
- Can you work with an existing internal team?
- Yes. We often work alongside in-house staff or an existing vendor, taking the parts that need product and platform depth while your team keeps operating.
- What happens after launch?
- Most clients continue with us on growth, new capabilities, and operational support. Others take the platform in-house with documentation and a handoff. Both are fine.
- How do projects start?
- With a short brief. Tell us the idea, the stage, and the constraints through the Start a Project form and we will come back with an honest read on scope and sequence.
